Configure same-setup re-arm
For strategies with a finite maximum entries per setup, Same setup re-arm controls when the *same factual setup* can begin a fresh entry-quota cycle.
This is different from a genuinely new setup. A new factual setup identity receives its own quota; re-arm rules control reuse of the same setup.
Choose a re-arm mode
Supported flat/score and sequence strategy editors provide three user-facing modes.
After setup reset
Price must first leave the factual setup by the configured Leave setup by (points) distance before a return can start a fresh cycle.
For a factual price level, the reset means moving at least the configured distance away from that level. For a factual zone, price must move beyond the relevant zone edge by the configured amount before a later return can qualify as a reset.
After setup reset + minimum time
Both conditions are required:
- price must complete the configured setup reset; and
- the time condition must be satisfied.
Use this when you want both a structural reset and a minimum separation in time before the same setup may receive another quota.
After time only
The strategy can begin a fresh same-setup cycle after the time condition without requiring the reset-distance condition.
Use this only when time separation itself matches the intended setup semantics.
Set Leave setup by (points)
Reset-based modes require Leave setup by (points).
Choose a distance that reflects the instrument and factual level or zone being traded. The value is part of the reset definition; it is not a stop-loss setting.
Set the re-arm delay
Time-based modes use the re-arm delay when one is configured.
If the delay is left blank, TensorAlgo uses the strategy cooldown for that time condition. Reset-only mode does not use the time delay.
Re-arm does not create a signal by itself
Completing a reset or delay only makes a fresh quota cycle possible for the same setup. The strategy must still satisfy its normal setup, sequence, confirmation, market-context, entry, lifecycle, and admission rules.
Re-arm therefore controls eligibility to reuse a factual setup, not whether a new trade should automatically be created.
Relationship to Armed Setup Protection
These controls solve different problems:
- Armed Setup Protection decides when one already-armed setup should stop waiting for its entry.
- Same setup re-arm decides when that same factual setup can later receive a fresh finite-entry quota.
Configure them independently so stale setup retirement and legitimate later reuse match the strategy you actually intend.
