Why Trade History is empty
An empty Trade History usually means the current instrument, result, or period filter has no matching saved records. Start with the filters before assuming recorded history has been lost.
Quick checks
- Set the result filter to All results.
- Confirm the selected instrument matches the Playbook or trade you expect.
- Choose a broader or more recent period.
- If using Specific date, confirm the date is inside the account's historical-data range.
- Select Refresh once.
Check whether you are looking for current activity instead
Trade Tape and Trade History answer different questions.
- Trade Tape shows current plans and lifecycle activity from active Playbooks.
- Trade History shows saved trade and lifecycle records.
A setup can appear in current lifecycle monitoring before there is a completed historical outcome to analyze. Open records can also differ from the completed-trade sample used by Trade Intelligence Center.
Confirm the relevant Playbook produced recorded activity
If you expect a specific Playbook to appear, check that:
- the Playbook was active during the period you are reviewing;
- the selected market matches the Playbook;
- the Playbook produced eligible lifecycle activity;
- the current result filter is not excluding the record.
Changing filters does not create records that were never produced by the Playbook.
Check the historical-data limit
The amount of history you can request depends on the signed-in account's current historical-data entitlement.
If an older date is unavailable or a broad period is shortened, compare the requested range with Settings → Billing. Choose a more recent period when the requested history is outside the current account limit.
Refresh versus Load more
Use Refresh to request the latest saved state.
If Trade History already shows some rows and you are looking for older matching records, use Load more when that action is available. A pagination limit is different from a genuinely empty result set.
If known history is still missing
If you know matching records should exist and the checks above still return an empty state, do not repeatedly change or recreate the Playbook.
Open a Support Ticket with:
- the instrument;
- the Playbook name;
- the approximate date/time of the expected activity;
- the result and period filters you used;
- whether the activity was visible in Trade Tape at the time;
- the exact empty-state or error message shown.
That information helps Support distinguish a filter/range issue from a missing saved record without exposing sensitive account data.
